ROENTOROLL CRE #104000
Application areas
Suitable for all roller developing machines. ROENTOROLL CRE is suitable for all areas of X-ray diagnostics.
Characteristics
Commercially available X-ray films achieve a medium gradation in ROENTOROLL CRE. The concentrates have a shelf life of at least 24 months at storage temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.
Fabrication
ROENTOROLL CRE is a three-part developer concentrate and is offered for 2 x 20 liters of ready-to-use developer. ROENTOROLL CRE can be used in all TETENAL chemical mixers. By using a TETENAL adapter, ROENTOROLL CRE can also be used in all other chemical mixers on the market.
Development temperature
The development temperature depends on the film material used and on the dwell time of the X-ray film in the developer, which - depending on the machine type - varies. The standard values are:
33 - 35°C at 90 s total processing time
29 - 31°C at 3.5 min total processing time
25 - 27°C at 7 min and longer total processing time
ROENTOGEN LIQUID #103482, 103486
Application areas
Suitable for manual development of medical X-ray films, dental films and of X-ray films for non-destructive testing (NDT) in trays, tanks or frame machines.
Characteristics
Standard developer for manual processing with high speed utilisation. Branded X-ray films achieve a medium to high gradation in ROENTOGEN liquid. The concentrate has a shelf life of at least 24 months at storage temperatures between 5 °C and 30 °C.
Packaging
ROENTOGEN liquid is a one-part developer concentrate and is offered for 4.5 litres or 22.5 litres ready-to-use developer.
Developing temperature
The following guide values apply for manual processing:
20°C (68°F) - 5 minutes
22°C (72°F) - 4 minutes
24°C (75°F) - 2.5 minutes
26°C (79°F) - 1.5 to 2 minutes
Regeneration
If possible, the developer should be regenerated daily, after the end of work, by replacing the dragged-out developer in the tank with regenerator solution (400 ml/m² developed film). The replenisher is made from the same concentrate using a smaller dilution factor. In general, the developer is expected to be usable for 3 m² of film per litre, assuming regular regeneration.
Technical data
pH value of the ready-to-use solution:
10.25 - 10.45 (20 °C, 68 °F)
Density of ready-to-use solution:
1.073 - 1.083 (20 °C, 68 °F)
Preparation instructions
Working solution:
Dilution 1 + 3.5 (5 l concentrate + 17.5 l water = 22.5 l)
Replenishment:
Dilution 1 + 2 (5 l concentrate + 10 l water = 15 l)
Disposal
ROENTOGEN liquid does not contain any substances or substance groups that are hazardous according to VGS. Nevertheless, ROENTOGEN must be disposed of as waste (waste code no. 090101) in accordance with local regulations.
SUPERFIX MRP #103595
Application areas
Applicable for all roller and spray developing machines. SUPERFIX MRP is suitable for all areas of X-ray diagnostics including dental film processing and for fixing X-ray films in non-destructive testing (NDT).
Characteristics
SUPERFIX MRP works at a high fixing speed and thus ensures that the films are fixed during the short treatment time, even in fast-running machines. Most filmless films can already be processed in a 3.5 minute cycle. Hardening additives make the emulsion layer more resistant to mechanical damage, ensure trouble-free transport through the machine and accelerate drying. Virtually odourless due to special additives. SUPERFIX MRP is suitable for use in fixer-recyclers. The concentrates have a shelf life of at least 24 months at storage temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.
Confection
SUPERFIX MRP is a two-part fixer concentrate and is offered for 2 x 20 litres or 2 x 10 litres of ready-to-use fixer. The packaging for 2 x 10 litres of fixing solution is especially designed for machines with small replenisher tanks as well as machines with low film throughput. SUPERFIX MRP can be used in all TETENAL chemical mixers. By using a TETENAL adapter, SUPERFIX MRP can also be used in all chemical mixers on the market.
Fixing temperature
Should not be more than 1 to 2 degrees below that of the developer bath, but at least 25°C.
ROENTOGEN SUPERFIX #103655, 103590
Application areas
Can be used for manual fixation of intraoral dental films, medical X-ray films and X-ray films for non-destructive testing (NDT) in trays, tanks or frame machines.
Charecteristics
ROENTOGEN Superfix liquid works with high fixing speed. The working solution is relatively free of sulphur dioxide emission. If curing of the emulsion layer is desired, ROENTOGEN Superfix liquid can be used together with the curing solution (REF 100138). The concentrate is stable for at least 24 months at storage temperatures between 5 °C and 30 °C.
Confection
ROENTOGEN Superfix liquid is a one-part fixer concentrate and is offered for 5 litres and 25 litres ready-to-use fixer.
Developer temperature
Should not be more than 1 to 2 °C below that of the developer bath, but at least 20 °C.
Replenishment
The fixer should be regenerated daily, if possible, by replacing the fixer in the tank with regenerator solution. The undiluted fixing bath concentrate is used to regenerate the working solution, but regeneration with a 1 + 2 diluted solution is also possible..
Technical data
pH value of the ready-to-use solution:
5.0 - 5.2 (20 °C, 68 °F)
Density of the ready-to-use solution:
1,063 – 1,073 (20 °C, 68 °F)
Preparation instructions
Working solution:
Dilution 1 + 4 (5 l concentrate + 20 l water = 25 l)
Replenishment:
Dilution 1 + 4 (1 l concentrate + 4 l water = 5 l)
When filling the tank, make sure that no fixing solution gets into the developer tank. Therefore, it is advantageous to fill the fixer first.
Disposal
The municipal wastewater statutes usually set a limit of maximum 0.5 - 2 mg silver / litre for the discharge of silver-containing solutions into wastewater. It is therefore not possible to discharge used fixing solutions into the wastewater. Silver-containing fixing baths are to be regarded as an economic good and are therefore to be recycled.
